Elsa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to plant plantains, providing food security and economic opportunities in indigenous territories during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elsa's story

Mrs. Elsa is a very hardworking and strong woman from Ipeti Embera, an indigenous Embera community located in eastern Panama.

Elsa is known for her strong leadership in her community and passion to contribute to the improvement of her community. She is a nursing assistant in the local health center and also a farmer. Her main crops are plantains and sweet potatoes.

Additionally, she has been a very committed member of the rural bank of Ipeti Embera, where she volunteers as treasurer.

She is applying for this loan to invest in agricultural production, buying seeds and basic equipment to plant plantains and corn. Elsa has taken smaller loans in the past in the local community bank and has paid them all punctually, demonstrating her responsibility and payment character. With the profits of her sales, she is planning to make home improvements to offer better living conditions for her family.

Thank you for supporting Elsa's economic and personal growth.
