Mohamed's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 45-year-old Mohamed from Waterloo branch. He is married, with five children between the ages of 4 and 18 years who are all attending school.

Mohamed runs a retail shop business and sells construction items, cement, paints and other assorted items. He has been in this business for the past six years. His other source of income comes from his wife's business. His main challenge is slow sales sometimes, especially during COVID-19.

He requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase construction items, cement, paints, nails, pipes and other assorted item to increase his business. Mohamed says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve his business and his family's welfare. In the future, he would like to establish it to a larger scale. He says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
