Sainte Famille Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy primary materials (groundnut oil, bicarbonate of soda, dyes, etc).

Sainte Famille Group's story

Christine is the president of the group "Sainte Famille". She is a 35 year old tradeswoman, married to a tradesman and mother of a 15 year old child who is in school. She has been in this business for over ten years. This request for a loan comes from the three members of the group.
Christine is borrowing the money to carry out her retail business by buying the primary materials (groundnut oil, bicarbonate of soda, dyes, etc) needed to make soap. This loan will enable her to boost her activity and increase her income. She stocks up in the weekly markets in her neighbourhood to resell at the same markets but also in her local area.
The income she will earn will enable her to help her husband deal with the family needs, particularly those of the children in terms of health, food, education and hygiene.
Amongst the difficulties she faces are competition and non-payment by some customers.
Christine would like to become a primary tradeswoman and to have the capacity to to go to the fairs and other big markets.
