Maria Ligia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase calves, salt, feed and vitamins to raise, fatten and sell the livestock.

Maria Ligia's story

María lives with her partner. All of her children are adults and live independently. María lives in a humble adobe house (clay mixed with sawdust or straw) which she rents.

María earns her living working as a day laborer and by raising and selling calves. She learned the work on her own because the country is well-suited to that kind of work.

Because of the pandemic, María hasn't been able to go to the market to sell her animals. She has been selling them to residents of nearby communities. Sometimes purchasers reach out to her so she can sell them her calves.

María needs a loan so she can purchase calves, salt, feed and vitamins to raise, fatten and sell the calves. María's hope is to be able to have her own home.
