A loan helped to buy more cereals which she plans to resell to make more profit to support her family.

Angeneta's story

Angeneta is a 59-year old mother of one child living in Vihiga, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She is a mixed farmer who is very hard-working and determined to succeed. Apart from farming, Angeneta is also a trader who sells cereals. Through these ventures, she is able to meet her family demands.

Angeneta is seeking this loan to buy more cereals which she plans to resell to make more profit to support her family. Juhudi Kilimo’s partnership with Kiva is an effective tool for reducing poverty in Kenya, especially among women, as they are the central actors in the rural areas. Angeneta is hopeful that Kiva lenders are going to respond positively to her loan request.
