Jose Ignacio's story

Jose Ignacio is a 52-year-old micro-entrepreneur who lives in Barranquilla with his spouse.

He has a business selling meals, breakfasts, snacks and natural juices. He has 15 years of experience operating in this sector. Jose Ignacio’s business idea came about because he had always wanted to have his own business. He saw the opportunity to open a small company that would generate daily income and that is how he started selling food. His customers are neighbors, people in the neighborhood, referred customers, and family members, among others.

Jose Ignacio’s goal is to expand his customer base and continue providing excellent service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred worldwide, his level of work declined due to biosafety issues and his income decreased dramatically.

Jose Ignacio is currently arranging for his first Kiva loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo in order to purchase soft drinks, Pony Malt [malt beverage], fruits to make natural juices, cheese sticks, empanadas, cakes and other items. Please support him in his business loan.
