Javier Enrique's story

Javier Enrique, age 53, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla with his wife.

His business is cabinet-making, and he has more than 30 years' experience. He sells furniture, chairs - all items made of wood. The idea for his business arose from the need to generate income to provide for his household; since he was very young, his family had done this work. His principal clients are medium-sized businesses and loyal customers.

Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, his business diminished due to questions of bio-security, and his income dropped drastically.

Now he is applying for his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo in order to invest in oak boards. Support his business loan.
