01_Coin Sidy Group's story

This banc villageois, established in the area since September 2008, brings together these six brave women who live in the same village. They share good social and professional relations and have successfully repaid several loans. Their main activity is trading.

Aminata, 51 years old, is the representative, on the right in the photo raising her hand. She is married and has no children, and has managed to increase her savings in order to obtain a large loan to develop her business.

Aminata prepares and sells fruit juice and haberdashery accessories, buying her supplies in the weekly markets and in the capital city to carry out production and retail in her home neighborhood. She owns a shop and has more than 10 years of experience.

With her loan she will buy five basins of baobab fruit, seven basins of hibiscus (bissap), one bag of sugar and various haberdashery products (threads, ribbons, buttons, poplin rolls etc). She resells with a profit margin and is doing well despite the strong competition.

Her profits allow her to meet some of the family's expenses, to strengthen her savings, and she plans to build her house.
