A loan helped to buy incense for resale.

01_Coin Sidy Group's story

This banc villageois was created in September 2008 and is composed of seven brave women from the same village. They share strong social and professional ties between them, and have reimbursed several loans with success. The group members work primarily in commerce.

Madam Fatou Nianga is 68 years old. She is the group representative, seen above with her hand raised. She is a widow and the mother of five children, all adults.

A dynamic woman, Fatou Nianga sells incense and perfume, which she stocks up on at the weekly marketplaces and in the capital, reselling her merchandise individually and locally. She benefits from over a decade of experience and also sells cooking ingredients on the side.

With this loan, Fatou Nianga plans to purchase 30 kilograms of incense and a variety of different types of perfume. She will resell her merchandise at a profit.

The income from Fatou Nianga's business allows her to increase her savings and care for her children. Previous loans also allowed her to build a larger room in her home.
