Icyanzu Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more banana plantains.

Icyanzu Cb Group's story

Francine is 52 years old and married with five children. Her husband is a businessman. For the past 25 years she has been selling banana plantains.

Francine is the leader of the group called Icyanzu CB, which in English means “gate to success.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of stores.

In Francine's case, she will use her share of the loan to buy more banana plantains to sell. With the profits from her sales she will be able to provide for her family and put away some savings.

Francine, along with the other group members, appreciates the lenders for permitting this opportunity to grow their businesses and better their lives for themselves and their families.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego Bank was not able to photograph all the members but Urwego Bank was able to get one representative for the photo.
