Ubumwe Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more sugar, rice and salt to sell.

Ubumwe Cb Group's story

Solange is 38 years old, married, and the mother of four children who range in age from 3-11 years old. Her husband is a businessman and for the past ten years she has earned a living by running a retail shop.

Solange leads a group called Ubumwe CB, which in English means “Unity.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of stores.

In Solange's case, she will use her share of the loan to buy more sugar, rice, and salt to sell. With the profits from her sales she will be able to renovate her house.

Solange and the other membersoff her loan group want to express their appreciation to Kiva lenders for giving them this opportunity to grow their businesses and better their lives and the lives of their family.

Due to the global pandemic Urwego Bank was not able to photograph all the members but was able to get one representative of the group for a o photo.
