Tuinuwe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four goats.

Tuinuwe Group's story

Dada is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the village group "Tuinuwe." She is married, 78 years old, and a mother of 11 children, who are all in school. Her partner is without work.

Dada sells goats. She started this business in 2008 with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to evolve. With this new loan, she is going to buy four goats, which will strengthen her initial capital. One challenge to her work is a lack of customers.

Dada would like to see her children continue in school and to feed her family. Finally, she thanks Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photograph includes only the group leader because of COVID-19.
