Mujeres Unidas Group's story

This committee is called Mujeres Unidas. It is an older group, formed in the city of Santaní. Its members are 22 enterprising women who help each other and have getting ahead and offering a dignified future to their families as their main objective.

One of them is Valentina, who is a very hardworking and active person. She hygienically prepares delicious food and displays it in her stall by the side of the road. Passerby are delighted by the aroma of her food and they stay to enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She mentions that faced with the crisis the world is going through from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, she hasn't been able to work normally. Specifically, she was affected by the quarantine decreed in the country, which also affected her income. But she will not be defeated, and she is seeking a way to overcome and get ahead.

She is asking for this loan to refinance her debt and to buy supplies to continue with her work, as she has been doing.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo wasn't possible because they were avoiding the conglomeration of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
