A loan helped to buy sheep and goats for resale.

Fede Kawral Group's story

Madam Hawa can be found in the photograph above with a goat. At forty years old she is literate, married, and the mother of two children, one of which attends school. Her husband is a farmer.

Madam Hawa works with livestock. She has over 20 years of experience in this field. She prefers to work with sheep and goats, and she dreams of becoming a model in her area.

Madam Hawa purchases her livestock locally and in the weekly marketplaces, and resells them in the same places after a few months of fattening them up. The main difficulty her business faces is the animals becoming sick or being stolen,

Madam Hawa is part of the Fede Fawral Group, composed of twenty women who work primarily in livestock. She partnered with microfinance companies in order to develop her business and to have the means to care for her children's health and education.
