Anabell's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase chicken, maíz, pork, rice, tomatoes, onions, banana leaves and other essential condiments used to make nacatamales.

Anabell's story

Anabell is a businesswoman who is 39 years old. She makes a living by selling chicken in the market. In order to improve her income, a year ago, she began selling nacatamales [Nicaraguan tamales]. Her oldest daughter supports her and sells the nacatamales in the street, while Anabell sells them from her home. Her clients say her product is very delicious. A woman works with her in order to raise money and support her three children.

Anabell has previous experience with loans from Kiva together with MiCrédito. This support has helped her increase her business and attract more clients. In order to reinvigorate her business again, she is opting for financing from these two organizations. With the loan she is requesting, she plans to purchase chicken, maíz, pork, rice, tomatoes, onions, banana leaves and other essential condiments used to make nacatamales. Her short term vision is to own an eatery.
