Isaac's story

Isaac is a 48-year old refugee from Burundi. He has lived in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, in Uganda for 5 years, with his wife and children. An entrepreneur at heart, for the past 4 years, Isaac has been running a retail shop business. A loan to Isaac will allow him to be able to restock more maize flour and rice in his retail shop. Isaac has noticed a strong demand for his business and thinks the business will be successful because it is in a good location, which in the market Centre where most customers come to the market. Hence, the rising demand for food due to WFP stopping to provide food but cash, this is an added advantage to him. His dream is to have a variety of commodities to give to his consumers. Isaac yearns to have a one-stop wholesale shop for all commodities.
