A loan helped to buy animals to resell in order to support his family.

Saniya Group's story

Aboudrahim raises sheep. He is 33 years old, married, and the father of 5 children, 2 of whom go to school. He is illiterate. His wife is a housekeeper.

Aboudrahim stocks up on and sells animals at local fairs. After his sales, he can have anywhere from 20,000 to 25,000 francs profit per animal. He has been in business for twelve years. His profits enable him to pay for his children's school fees and to ensure his family's food security.

But, he often encounters difficulties in his business, such as the loss of animals despite veterinary care. He is generous and has a good reputation in his village. Aboudrahim counts on the support from RMCR and Kiva to grow his business. NB: Because of COVID-19, only Aboudrahim represents the group in the photo.
