Sarah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs, high-quality seeds, and good fertilizer to improve her horticulture crop.

Sarah's story

Sarah (36) lives in Kerugoya in the Central Province of Kenya. In the rural environment, it is a common practice for women to depend on their husbands for a living. She is a mother who works hard to pull her family out from poverty. Nothing moves Sarah’s heart more than seeing her family happy and satisfied.

Among women of her age, Sarah has been identified as a very hardworking farmer, engaging in mixed farming, dairy and poultry-keeping. Sarah practices agriculture with a difference, employing youthful energy, hard work and knowledge from the many agricultural training seminars she has had with Juhudi Kilimo.

Using this loan to buy farm inputs (high-quality seeds and good fertilizer) will improve Sarah's horticulture crop. Modern farming requires the use of modern techniques, and, therefore, using high-quality seeds will assure her of a bumper harvest and increased profit levels.

Sarah is very visionary. Her goal for the season is to boost her crop production over the previous year and, also, build a modern house. All this can be achieved through lenders’ help and goodwill.
