Mahoro Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to get supplies of 30 sacks of beans, 10 sacks of corn, and 20 sacks of flour, which will build on her initial capital.

Mahoro Group's story

Marie is a customer of the Hekima MFI and leader of the business group "Mahoro". She is married, 38 years old, and mother of five children, four of whom are in school and one is younger; her partner is a farmer.

She is a seller of food items, having set up this business 14 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima programme for business support, over the course of which she has progressively developed.

With this new loan, she will get supplies of 30 sacks of beans, 10 sacks of corn, and 20 sacks of flour, which will build on her initial capital. The challenge in this work is related to unpaid debts.

She would like to keep her children in education and to feed her family. Lastly, she thanks Hekima and partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of this global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group's leader because of COVID-19.
