Uulkan's story

Uulkan, 59, is a widow and has 4 sons. She has a secondary education. By nature, she is kind and responsive.

She has been engaged in animal husbandry and field crop cultivation for 11 years and this has been the main income for her family. Thanks to her hard work, her farm presently consists of 4 cows, 30 sheep and horses. There is also a 1.68 hectares plot of land on which she grows beans.

In order to further develop her farm, she has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) to purchase livestock to increase income from livestock raising. She is planning to invest the income from the loan towards further expansion of her farm.
