Corazon De Jesus Group's story

María Del Socorro is 52 years old, married, and mother to six children. She is a business woman and from an early age has had a small scale restaurant business. Currently she has a small business butchering pigs and making tortillas in her home. Her parents work in agriculture and her husband works in agriculture in the growth of coffee and basic grains. She has fought day to day working the land and running small businesses to get ahead and bring home daily bread to her family. Her house is built of wood and concrete, and her plan is to finish building it.

She is requesting a Fundenuse loan with Kiva funds to purchase raw materials to make her products. This loan will help her in a big way because she does not have enough cash to acquire the raw materials, and her customers are continuous because her business is located in a strategical point close to a junction in her community. With the purchase of pigs she will be able to generate better sales and therefore better income. She belongs to the solidarity group "Corazón de Jesús" ("Heart of Jesus") together with María Deisi and Jakeling.
