Shangilieni Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on 600 kg of nails, which will supplement her original capital.

Shangilieni Group's story

Deodate is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and presides over the Shangilieni groupe villageoise.

She is married, 56 years old, and the mother of five children, but three of them go to school. Her partner is unemployed. She sells hardware products and started this business in 1992 with start up capital received from her husband. Later, she implemented the Hekima program to support her business, during which she expanded progressively.

With this new loan, she will stock up on 600 kg of nails, which will supplement her original capital. The challenge of her business is linked to the lack of customers due to COVID-19. She would like to educate her children well.

Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support that they bring to unbanked businesses in the context of this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group, due to COVID-19.
