A loan helped to buy peanut seeds and fertilizer to farm her field.

05_Adama Group's story

This group was created in February 2017 and is made up of 12 women who live in the same village. They are bound by ties of family and friendship. They have good social relations, and all work in agriculture. This group is on its 4th loan.

Yaya, the group representative, is 61 years old. She is married and the mother of 3 children, one of whom is a girl. She grows peanuts like most of the women in the village. With this loan she plans to buy peanut seeds and fertilizer to farm her field.

After harvest, she will sell her production in the local market at a good price, and hope to obtain better revenues. The profits from this loan will be used to support family expenses and to take care of her children's school fees and health.
