Las Campanitas De Loma Group's story

This group is called “Las Campanitas de Loma” (Loma’s Little Bells); it has 9 members and is in Estado de México, a Mexican state. Yolanda Jiménez C., 34, is the group treasurer. She finished high school and is a housewife and merchant; she has three children, two girls and one boy who are 17, 11 and 7 years of age respectively. She is a candy merchant; she started out two years ago with a small sales cart alongside a church; she was open for business from Saturday through Thursday, she used Fridays to stock up on merchandise. She relates that based on loans and profits from her sales she was able to buy a car that she uses to go get her merchandise and transport it to various points of sale when there are events in town where many outlying communities participate and many booths are set up for all the people that gather. She is asking for funds to buy more candy and snacks and, if possible, juices and beverages with the intention of expanding her business and continue participating in the events the town organizes because she expects to get more profits that will make it possible for her to build a proper candy store in the future thereby improving her quality of life. The other group members are: - Ana Lilia R. V. (Underwear Sales) - Agripina C. (Tortilla Sales) - Silvia C. R. (Clothing Sales) - Rosa María C. G. (Clothing Sales) - Petra B. A. (Candy and Plastics Sales) - Verónica C. V. (Candy and Beverage Sales) - Marcela V. C. (Shoe Sales) - María del Rocío R. B. (Clothing Sales)
