A loan helped to buy kitchen utensils and to resell them.

01_Sindia Lorong Group's story

This 'banc villageois" was established in the area in August 2008. It brings together these eight women who live in the same village. They are related, friends and maintain good relations. They have repaid more than 15 loans on time. Their primary business is sales. The representative, Fatou, 54 years old, is on the left in the photo with her hand raised. She is a married woman and the mother of seven children, three of whom are boys. Fatou is involved in the retail sales of kitchen utensils. She stocks up at the wholesaler at the city market and resells from home, where she has a shop. She capitalizes on a significant amount of experience, of more than 10 years, in this area of business.
She is going to buy 40 basins, 40 buckets and 3 dozen bowls which she is going to resell with a good profit. She has a good clientele and sells off her merchandise easily because she sells on credit and gets her money back in three months. She envisions, with her profits, reinvesting in her business and building up her savings within the "banc villageois".
