Deborah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a biodigester to save money and pay for her kids' education.

Deborah's story

Deborah is a resilient businesswoman who has survived harsh and challenging times. She is a single mother, and that meant working extra harder in order to provide a modest education and lifestyle for her children. Juggling between a vegetable farm and business meant enduring the cold mornings and late evening haste.

Reliance on wood fuel under these conditions and during the rainy seasons would mean choosing between having breakfast and losing out on a business opportunity. That is why Deborah decided to invest in a Sistema.bio digester to transform her three cows' waste into energy. With her biodigester, Deborah will produce her own energy and fertilizer.

This will also be an opportunity to save money and provide healthy organic food for her family and clients. She will use the money she saves to pay school fees for her children and in expanding her business.

This loan represents 66% of the price of the biodigester; the remaining part is paid directly by Deborah and with a government subsidy.
