A loan helped to buy 50 bags of flour.

Tudumu Group's story

Madame Jeannette is a client of microfinance institution Hekima and heads the Tudumu Group. She is a 53-year-old widow with 7 children, 3 of whom are in school.

She sells flour, a business she started when she was 18 with startup funds from her biological father. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, which steadily grew over time. With this new loan, she will buy 50 bags of flour, which will increase her working capital. Her main challenges are related to exchange rates and social distancing.

Jeannette would love for her children to continue their studies and to build on her land. She would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to owners of non-bankable businesses during the Covid-19 crisis. Due to the pandemic, only the leader of this group is shown.
