Fe Y Esperanza Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, corn, sugar, bread, coffee beans, and salt, etc.

Fe Y Esperanza Group's story

Emelina is 69 years old, a widow, and a mother to ten children. She sells basic need products, when she reached a certain advanced age Emelina decided to start her small business of basic products to alleviate muscular pain as a result of working as a labourer.

She started her business with little capital, and started selling sugar, rice, corn, tortillas, ground coffee and nacatamales (traditional Nicaraguan dish). She has had eleven loans with Fundneuse, which she has managed in a good way, now she is requesting a new loan in Fundenuse with Kiva funds in order to buy rice, corn, sugar, bread, coffee beans, salt and a variety of products which she sells from her home.

Her future goal is to repair her home, so she wants to invest in her business in order to save. In her spare time Emelina likes to sit and watch television with a cup of coffee. She belongs to the solidarity group "Faith and Hope".
