A loan helped to purchase agricultural supplies.

Marina's story

Marina is a rural woman who learned to earn a living doing agricultural tasks, working as a day-laborer and doing the cleaning of the community school. She lives with her children who are still going to secondary school at public institutions, to which they travel from their parish of Urbina to the city of Tulcán making the 60-minute trip daily each way in their neighbors' private cars or mini-buses. Marina has to pay the transportation costs, since she wants her children to have the education she was unable to have due to the lack of opportunities.

It is for this that she works arduously. For over 8 years, she has worked cultivating the land, getting extra income in this way to pay for necessities. Despite the difficult times that the entire world is experiencing, she does not lose hope and gets ahead. For this, she asks again for help with which to purchase agricultural supplies to care for her crops. In this way, she hopes to improve production and, in the end, get more earnings to sustain her humble family.
