Bophelo Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase an ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging.

Bophelo Group's story

Lengolo is a 37-year-old man who lives with his three children in a multi-bedroom house that has no access to electricity. He works as a civil servant, but he struggles with buying multiple fuel sources. Lengolo spends most of his energy expenses on gas and paraffin, which adds up to 255 LSL per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and performing other energy-related tasks, such as charging his phone.

Lengolo and the other group members from his village each purchased an ACE-1 cookstove to help them save money on fuel each month and gain access to solar electricity for charging their mobile devices anytime for free. The ACE-1 clean cookstove is powered by biomass and solar energy.
