Bantama's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 27-year-old Bantama from Wilberforce branch. She is a single lady with two of her relatives who are solely dependent on her for their living.

Bantama runs a retail business selling clothes, slippers, bags, and other assorted items. She has been in this business for the past 3 years. Her other source of income comes from her father’s salary. Her main challenge is slow sales, especially during this rainy season.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase thread, needles, slippers, clothes, bags, and other assorted items to increase her business. Bantama says that the extra income from this loan will help to increase her business and the welfare of her relatives. In the future she would like to establish it to a larger-scale business. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
