Maria Katherine's story

Maria Katherine is 29 years old, in a common-law marriage, and from this relationship has a 7-year-old child who goes to school. Her spouse is a day laborer. They live in Jaramijó, a touristic city with lovely beaches which border its coasts, where the people are very friendly and enterprising with great desire to get ahead. It is a place which has been very affected by the health emergency caused by COVID-19.

She is a very responsible and enterprising woman who strives each day to get ahead and support her spouse with the household expenses. For this, for two years she has worked in sales and has installed her business in her home, selling clothing such as pants, shirts, t-shirts, and more. She also goes out to make rounds offering her products door-to-door. She sells for cash and on credit and collects fortnightly.

Due to the pandemic, her sales have dropped and her income has reduced. With this new loan, she will reactivate her business. This loan is to purchase products for her business. Her dream is to own a house.
