Antonieta Yuvanny's story

Antonieta Yuvanny is 55. She's married with six adult children, and her husband is a mechanic who has his own repair shop. They live in the Jipijapa canton, known as "sultana of coffee." People there are nice and hardworking, but they have suffered the toll of the severe pandemic caused by COVID-19.

Antonieta Yuvanny is a woman who has enjoyed having her own income her whole life. Since several years ago she has been selling beauty products, purses, shoes, etc. delivering upon request, selling on credit, and charging clients depending on the method of payment. Before the pandemic her sales were good, but then, since she belongs to a vulnerable group due to her illness, she was on quarantine and used her family savings to get by.

Antonieta Yuvanny will invest the loan from the foundation in buying such items as purses and shoes among others that have been requested. Her dream is for the situation to improve so that she can proceed with her business.
