Freda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a baking drum, sugar, cooking oil, and flour for her bakery business and colorbond coppers for her house.

Freda's story

Freda is a 57-year-old woman who is married with two children and they live in a community in Honiara, capital of the Solomon Islands.

She runs a small bakery business, making and selling sweet cakes and buns in her community to earn a living. She has been in this business for three years.

Freda has requested a loan from SPBD and half of the loan will be used to pay for an additional baking drum, sugar, cooking oil, and flour to assist her with her bakery business. The other half will be used to pay for color bond coppers to complete her house to provide better living conditions for her family.

She joined SPBD in 2013 to gain access to financial services. She will use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.
