Monica Katty's story

Monica Katty is married and has five children, three of whom are adults and two are minors. Her husband works as a longshoreman in a transportation cooperative. Monica Katty lives with her family in the canton of Jipijapa, known as Sultana del Café, where people are friendly and hard-working. This area has also suffered the ravages of the difficult pandemic provoked by Covid-19.

Monica Katty is an entrepreneurial woman who likes to help with her household finances. In order to generate income for her family, she works selling products from Tupperware catalogs and Pingüino ice creams. She has a small space in her house where she displays her products. In addition, since a few years ago she has worked making foods such as corviches, empanadas and sandwiches. During the months of quarantine, Monica Katty delivered orders from her family and friends. Thanks to this undertaking Monica Katty was able to help her household.

Monica Katty will invest the loan from the foundation to buy Tupperware catalog products. Her dream is to have a spacious shop that she owns.
