A loan helped to buy cattle and pigs to later sell their meat.

Aguasanta Adria's story

Aguasanta Adria is 61 years old, married, and has three children who are all adults. Her husband is a day laborer. They live in the Jipijapa canton, known as "La Sultana del Café", at the site of El Paramo, where the people are very kind and hardworking, but where they have also suffered the havoc from the difficult pandemic brought on by Covid-19.

Aguasanta Adria is a hardworking woman who, from very early, gets up to do her daily work. For a number of years she has made a living buying cattle and pigs to later sell their meat by the pound. Before the pandemic, she had a stand where her customers could come to buy meat, but because of the restrictions she had to close the shop and sell from her home. She also does home deliveries.

With the loan from the foundation, Aguasanta Adria will invest in purchasing cattle and pigs to later sell their meat. The dream for her is to have a butcher shop and to continue working.
