Martha Tatiana's story

Martha Tatiana is 39 years old and is in a common-law marriage. She has two children who are 16 and 9 years old. They live in Jipijapa Canton, a place that is known as the Coffee Bean Shell. People there are very friendly and hard-working but they have also suffered the ravages of the harsh pandemic caused by Covid 19.

Martha Tatiana is an enterprising woman who has always enjoyed helping her spouse. For several years, she has been engaged in selling footwear for children and adults, a business that, prior to the pandemic, was located on the bay in the center of town where her spouse used to work.

Because of her concern about her household finances, with the little savings she had left, Martha Tatiana set up a grocery store at her house where she also sells some of her footwear.

Martha Tatiana will use her loan from the foundation to purchase products to expand her store and generate more earnings. Her dream is to have a larger, more extensive establishment.
