Kotognogontala Group's story

Niadje is a 45-year-old Malian. She is the mother of six children, three of whom are in school. Her children are between the ages of six and 21 years old. She is a housewife who is unable to read and has been raising livestock for seven years with help from her farmer husband. With the aim of sustaining her livestock raising activity, she is approaching RMCR to improve her activity to make it her main source of income.

In the photo it is she who is holding the ram. she gets her supplies in the village as well as the surrounding area and sells on the local market. She can receive 32 500 FCFA profit after each sale. The income she receives for the sale of livestock allows her to take care of the health, food, education and clothing of her children. She has not experienced any difficulties with the RMCR except COVID-19 which has had a major impact on the market prices. Niadje has expressed her firm will to respect the barrier and preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic which have been announced by the health services of the country.

In the future Niadje plans to obtain more money to continue this activity of livestock raising to make it into an employment opportunity for her children.

Finally, she thanks the RMCR very much for their support in financial inclusion for those who are vulnerable, especially women.
