07_Wakkere/ Jappo Suxaly Mbay Mi Group's story

This group is made up of 15 members who maintain strong relationships of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village and were able to seize the opportunity to join the agricultural group when it was inaugurated in July 2020. They are active in rain-fed agriculture.
Mr. Abdou (on the right of the photo with his hand raised), is the group's representative. He is 39 years old. He is married and father of 3 children including 1 daughter. The oldest is 16 years old and the youngest 3 years old.
He has been cultivating peanut, millet and corn for over 9 years. He gets his supplies of inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides) at the weekly markets of the locality. After cultivation, he sells his finished products in these same markets.
With this new loan, he intends to buy millet and peanut seeds and peanut fertilizer.
The profits generated by his business will allow him to cover household expenses and prepare for the next campaign.
