07_Bokk Yakar Keur Dagga /jappo Suxali Mbay Mi Group's story

This group is made up of 10 members who are strongly bonded in mutual aid and solidarity. They all live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join this farming group in 2010 when it was founded. Their specialization is rain-fed agriculture.

Abdoulaye—on the right in the photo with his hand raised—is the group's representative. He is married and has 5 children between the ages of 16 years and 4 months. He has been practicing rain-fed agriculture to grow peanuts and millet for more than 10 years. Abdoulaye gets his supplies (seed, fertilizer, insect killer) at the nearby weekly markets, where he also sells his products when they are harvested.

With this new loan, he plans to buy peanut seed and fertilizer. Abdoulaye will use the profits to cover his family's expenses.
