A loan helped to build a household latrine to improve sanitation and personal hygiene.

Samorn's story

Samorn is 28 years old, married, and has two children. She lives with her family in the Moung Ruessei district of Batambong province. She is a farmer who owns a few hectares of farmland on which she grows various kinds of crops, including rice and potatoes.

To supplement the income from the farm, she raises some poultry for fattening and sells it to local butchers. She is able to help her husband earn household income, so that they are able to provide food, medicine, education, and basic living needs for their children.

She wants to improve her agribusiness and upgrade her living conditions.

She has requested a loan amounting to KHR 3,000,000 to build a household latrine to improve sanitation and personal hygiene. With the loan support, she hopes that everyone in her family can live in a comfortable lifestyle. Thanks to the water loan program offered by HKL with a special interest rate, she is encouraged to focus on healthy living conditions, safeguard the health of her family, and protect the environment.
