Recho's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs, such as certified quality seed and fertilizer, to improve her farm and eventually, through increased profits, her standard of living.

Recho's story

Recho is a mother of four children living in Litein, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and vast agricultural enterprises. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has been farming for the past ten years, enabling her to comfortably support her family.

Recho is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs, such as certified quality seed and fertilizer, to improve her farm and eventually, through increased profits, her standard of living. Unlike banks and other local money lenders who operate mainly in urban centres, Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva field partner, has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities for different people to access loans.

Support Recho at this time when the Covid-19 pandemic has affected food systems, food security and agricultural livelihoods!
