They are renting a house in the town of Charapotó where farming is the primary financial activity. Its people are very humble and generous to their own and to visitors.

Azucena works selling clothes, shoes and jewelry. She sells door to door and from a small locale in her house where she sells with her daughter. Her husband works as a farmer, although at the moment he is not planting.

During the pandemic Azucena experienced financial difficulties. Two sibilings and a a brother-in-law died from Covid-19. Azucena's business was closed, so she had no income. Her daughter helped them financially.
