Carmen Arcelia's story

Carmen Arcelia is married, and from this relationship she has three children aged 10, 15, and 18. Her oldest child is in school at the university, and the younger ones are in elementary and high school. Her husband has a bakery. They live in a house that they rent. They live in Charapotó parish, where farming and ranching are the main economic activities. Its people are very humble and generous with each other and with strangers.

Previously, Carmen Arcelia made bread, but she decided to change her work, and now she sells products from Avon and Belcorp (Ibel, Cyzone, Esika) catalogs (beauty products, cosmetics, perfume, and women’s accessories). She works three days a week, two to three hours a day. She leaves her products on credit and collects every eight days. Her husband is the one who is in charge of the bakery, although for the moment they are not selling. During this worldwide crisis, she has experienced economic difficulties. Her customers cannot pay because they have been left without employment, and others have died. At first, the health crisis was very hard for her because she couldn’t sell, but now little by little she is starting it up again.

With this new loan, she will buy perfumes, creams, deodorants, etc. Her dream is for her family to have very good health and for her business to continue growing.
