Ennita Esmerita's story

Ennita Esmerita is in a common-law marriage, has 8 adult children, and her spouse is unemployed. They own their house. They live in Manta, a place which has lovely and welcoming beaches.

Ennita Esmerita works selling rice by the quintal, half quintal, quarter quintal, or by the pound, at her house. Her long-time customers are always asking her for it due to the good quality of the products and that she gives them payment terms. She leaves them on credit and collects weekly, and for cash. One of her children helps her sell the rice on the boats.

During this global crisis, she has had financial difficulties. Her customers cannot pay her because they have been unemployed and some have died.

At first the health crisis was very bad for her since she was unable to sell. But now, little by little, she is reactivating it. With this new loan, she will purchase rice by the quintal and pay for the transportation. Her dream is that her family is very healthy and that her business continues growing.
