A loan helped to purchase groceries to continue stocking the store.

Maria Eugenia's story

Maria Eugenia is 46 years old, married, and has two children, of whom one is an adult and independent and the younger one is 18 years old and goes to secondary school. Her spouse is a fisherman. They live in Manta, a place which has lovely and welcoming beaches. It is the first deep-water port in Ecuador.

Maria has a grocery store in her house, where she sells all sorts of products such as rice, sugar, oil, detergents, legumes, vegetables, and fruits. She works every day from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

During the health crisis, at first she sold very little but now, little by little, it has been reactivating with sales. Her spouse had an appendix operation and there was no other income than what she got from the sales.

With this new loan, she will purchase groceries to continue stocking the store. Her dream is that her family is very healthy and that her business continues growing.
