A loan helped to refinance her debt and to purchase paints, fabrics, and other products.

Nueva Esperanza Group's story

This committee is called Nueva Esperanza [New Hope]. They have set as a goal to grow, not only financially but also as people. It is for that reason they strive tirelessly to be able to achieve their goals and objectives.

One of the members is Candida, who works selling crafts that she makes herself. She says that, because of her work, she has been able to help support her household and her family. She is a determined person who is seeking a way to better herself and get ahead.

She mentions that, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, her business has been affected along with her income. Therefore, she has not been able to carry out her work normally. She is requesting this loan to be able to refinance her debt and to also purchase items for making her crafts, such as paints, fabrics, and other products.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo even though this is a group loan. The whole group was not photographed in order to avoid gathering people together due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
