Avec Nafore Salikegne Group's story

Madame Sadio is the president of the group AVEC (Association Villageoise d'Epargne et de Credit) Nafore Salikegne which means "importance" in French [and English]. She is shown in the photo.

Madame Sadio is 38 years old, married and mother to 2 children, ages 7 and 9, who are in school. She is uneducated and her husband is a driver.

She has been in the breeding business for the past 10 years. This loan will help all 14 female members of the group to purchase sheep and goats. Madame Sadio is going to use her loan to purchase goats and sheep in the villages for resale in the weekly market in her neighborhood.

With the resulting profit, she will be able to help her husband take care of her family, in particular the education of her kids, medical expenses when they are sick, and above all their nourishment. She would like her children to pursue their studies in the biggest schools in the country for a better future. The lack of financing is one of the problems that she has to face.
