Dorcas Ii Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on pagnes (bright West African cloth) and women's sandals to enhance her initial capital.

Dorcas Ii Group's story

Jeanette is a client of IMF Hekima and president of the "Dorcas Ii" solidarity group. She is a 54 year old widow and mother of five children, who all go to school.

She sells women's clothing. She started this business 20 years ago with funds received from her deceased husband. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, during whch time she progressively expanded her business. With this new loan she will stock up on pagnes and women's sandals which will enhance her initial capital. The challenge in her business lies in the current money exchange rates.

She would like to increase her turn-over and finish the construction on her house. In closing she would like to thank Hekima and it's partners for the support provided to unbanked business owners during this global crisis brought about by COVID-19. The photo is of the group leader only because of COVID-19.
