Benkadi Cco Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase agricultural inputs to farm her fields, then sell the vegetables [she has grown].

Benkadi Cco Group's story

Maminata is a 39-year-old Malian woman who has been farming for 20 years. She grows groundnuts, okra, chillis, and sugar snap peas. She lives in Mali and is married and the mother of four children, two girls and two boys. Her children range in age from 12 to 17, and one of the girls attends school. Her husband also farms to earn a living. Maminata did not attend school.

Maminata borrows from RMCR so she can purchase agricultural inputs (fertilizer, weed killer, insecticide) and increase her [crop] yield. She sells ground nuts and okra wholesale in her village. With RMCR's financial support, she hopes to be[come] a major producer of okra and groundnuts, so she can better meet her children's needs. The profusion of the crops she sells in her area lowers the price [at which she is able to sell them, and] is one of the barriers she faces. Maminata estimated monthly profit is 24,000 CFA francs.
